Queen Elisabeth – boat cruise

Queen Elizabeth National Park is our second safari location, with one night in the northern part in the bigger but still very nice Mweya Safari Lodge and two nights in our cozy safari tent in the much smaller Ishasha Wilderness Camp. We have another boat cruise, with our own private boat on the Kazinga Channel. Another swimming elephant, water buffaloes and lots of hippos. And Dorin’s favorite bird, the Malachite kingfisher. This time also in an all white version. There’s a baby hippo doing the cutest little pony jump, unfortunately not caught on a picture. Sabine gets her first Ugandan lunch, with mashed matoke (green banana), ginger nut sauce and fried dodo (not the bird but local spinach). Very yummy.
